It's never too early to learn smart financial values as a young person. The Buck-A-Roo Kids' Club can help. The Buck-A-Roo Kids' Club is designed especially for children 12 and under. Club members can learn first-hand the value and rewards of saving money at the credit union. Plus, they receive these fun benefits:

  • Membership Packet Filled with Cool Savings Items
  • Savings Incentives
  • Savings Certificates Available
    Minimum deposit of $250
  • Financial Educational Materials
  • Buck's for A's
    Bring your report card to a branch office. Bucks First FCU will make a deposit of $1 into your savings account for each Final Year-End grade of 'A' earned per subject/course when a parent, guardian, or relative deposits an equal or greater amount. (Maximum deposit from credit union is up to $10)
    Note: Original final report card must be presented in person at a branch office by July 31st of the current school year.
  • Coloring Contest
    Winner from each month (from each branch) will receive a cash prize of $5.00 Coloring Contest pages are available at branch offices and online by clicking link below.

    Age requirement is 13 and up with an adult joint owner.

If you take one of the schedules “Flip Your Fees” Financial Ed Classes during any month, we will refund any Non-Sufficient Funds Fees that were assessed during that calendar month.

EXAMPLE:
You receive two (2) NSF Fees totaling $60. Attend the class at the end of the month and we will refund your $60.

The Award

One $1,500 scholarship to be awarded to one (1) student and their accredited educational institution. ($1,500 awarded to each winner)

Eligibility

The applicant must be a member of Bucks First Federal Credit Union (BFFCU) in good standing, and must be enrolled as a high school senior at the time of application. Scholarship funds must be used at an accredited educational institution by January 31, 2014, for tuition or textbooks only. Employees of BFFCU, Directors, Volunteers, and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.

Application Process

  2. Application deadline is Friday, February 1, 2013.

Selection Process

Judging will be based upon both, subjective criteria including essays and weighted objective criteria, as well as academic performance, extracurricular and community activities, references and personal goals. Judging will conclude on Friday, February 8, 2013 and the winner will be notified by Friday, February 15, 2013.
